How to set up an SMTP account with Amazon SES- Step by Step Tutorial

To be able to set up an SMTP account with Amazon SES, please follow the steps listed below : 

Step 1: Go to the Amazon SES website and sign up for any of their plans on basis your requirement. 

Step 2: Once you have logged in your Amazon SES account, on the top bar - click on 'Services' and search for 'Simple Email Service'.





Step 3: Click on 'Email Addresses' located on the left sidebar menu.




Step 4: Click on 'Verify a New Email Address' & add the email address from which you want to send/broadcast your emails.

After you have written down the email address, please click on 'Verify this Email Address'. Post that, Amazon Web Services (AWS) will 
send a verification email to your email address and you just have to verify it.




Step 5: Now, click on 'SMTP Settings' in the left sidebar menu.

The â€śServer Name” on this page is going to act as â€śSMTP Host” and "Port" is going to be 587 in your Geminii App account. Now click on â€śCreate My SMTP Credentials". 




Step 6: Again click on 'Create'




Step 7: Click on â€śShow User SMTP Security Credentials” .

Now, please note down the 'Username And Password' somewhere safe. These are going to be your SMTP Username and Password when you
will be entering details in your Geminii app account.

Step 8: Now, below are some details you must have already got from your Amazon SES account & this will be used when you go to Geminii app to add your SMTP. 
  1. SMTP Name 
  2. SMTP Host 
  3. SMTP Port 
  4. SMTP Username 
  5. SMTP Password 
  6. From Name (This is the name from which the campaign would be sent)
  7. From E-mail (This is the email  from which the campaign would be sent)
  8. Reply-to E-mail (This is the email on which you would receive the replies from your audience)

Step 9: After you have grabbed all the above data from your Mailjet account, login in to your Geminii app by entering your credentials. 





Step 10: In your Geminii app account, go to 'Autoresponder App' >> Your SMTP >> Add New SMTP and copy-paste all your SMTP related details.

Step 11: After you have entered all the SMTP details, click on 'Add SMTP' to simply save your SMTP. 

That's how easy it was.
