How to set up an SMTP account with Mailjet - Step by Step Tutorial

WARNING : The guide below might seem/sound really technical or complicated but don't worry - it is ABSOLUTELY NOT. Just read it carefully to Do It Yourself 👍

To be able to set up an SMTP account with Mailjet, please follow the steps listed below :

Step 1: Go to Mailjet's website and sign up for any of their plans on the basis your requirement.

Step 2: Once you have logged in to your Mailjet account, on the top right-hand side corner - click on 'Your Name'. In Senders & Domains - click on 'Add a Sender Domain & Address'.

Step 3: In the next step,  'Add Your Domain' and 'Verify your New Domain' ownership.

Please note that this domain will be the one from where your email broadcast will be triggered. So essentially it has to be a subdomain like mail.yourdomain.com or any other subdomain of your choice.
Also, this step is only required if you haven’t added any domain yet. More details on how to verify your domain can be read on Mailjet's website.

Click on 'Continue' in order to save the same & proceed further.

Step 4: Now, under Senders & Domains, go to 'SMTP and Send API Settings'

Step 5:  After clicking on 'SMTP and Send API Settings', you can view all your SMTP-related details.

Step 6: Now, below are some details you will definitely need from your Mailjet account when you go to Geminii to add your SMTP.

  7. From E-mail (This is the email  from which the campaign would be sent)
  8. Reply-to E-mail (This is the email on which you would receive the replies from your audience)

Step 7: After you have grabbed all the above data from your Mailjet account, login in to your Geminii app by entering your credentials.

Step 8: In your Geminii app account, go to 'Autoresponder App' >> Your SMTP >> Add New SMTP and copy-paste all your SMTP-related details.

Step 9: After you have entered all the SMTP details, click on 'Add SMTP' to simply save your SMTP.
